I have experienced a lot downtime lately on one of the several domains I have registered with Bluehost. This is particularly distressing because it's a e-commerce site.
What is happening to Bluehost? It used to be very reliable but I recall a post by Matt here saying that if they don't get 250 (or whatever the number was) sign ups a day they start to worry. Well, now I'm worried for the dozen or so clients whom I've moved over to Bluehost. Do you have the capacity to handle the load? Is Bluehost becoming a hosting farm, as I've heard it categorized of late.
OK so I called support and they promised to move my domain to a more reliable server. What happens when that server starts to overload? Anyone else experience the red screen of death? Server Overload? I have and so have my clients.
Maybe it's time to re-think priorities. I like Bluehost and have been with them for a few years so I know what it used to be like. Is it going to be the chase of the dollar pitted against superior service?
