access to my website denied

I've just upgraded to Wordpress 3.1 and find that I can't access my website. The log-in page sends me to the password change page which sends me back to the log-in page which directs me to password change page...................I gave up after 20 attempts. Do I need to uninstall Wordpress 3.1 and if so how do I do it? Greatful for any help anyone can give.

First, you should upgrade to the latest version, which I believe is version 3.2.1. Go to http://wordpress.org/ to confirm this.

Second, rather than doing an uninstall, I would install over what you already have so that you don't lose your uploads (images, video, etc.).

In fact I downloaded Wordpress 3.2.1 yesterday and for some reason after 24 hours the problem has resolved itself, I have access again and the panic is over. The only problem now is that my whole site has disappeared so I'll have to rebuild. As I'd only done a half of the home page it's not too disastrous.

Answer will always be to upgrade to latest version. Using an older version exposes you to security vulnerabilities and endless headaches for you and possible others on your server.

I agree updating wordpress has fixed a lot of headaches for me, but then again it has caused a few headaches with outdated plugins that don't won't to work with the updated worpress haha I suppose nothing is perfect ;)

Upgrade to 3.2.1 (and not the 3.3 betas)
