Pre-Signup Question

Hi there,

Im thinking of signing up for one of your hosting plans. I just need to make sure that one of your plans will offer what I need.

Your plan says it comes with Secure Shell Access. Im relatively new to using this feature but have found out from my existing host that I need to have it to be able to access my website mysql database remotely. Unfortunately my existing host doesnt offer Secure Shell Access on any of its shared plans and there dedicated plans are way to expensive for me. So my main inquiry is:-

Will the Secure Shell Access offered as part of your plans allow me to access the included mysql database remotely, including the ability to update and query the database. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Yep you sure can. That is how I use it. It is the best way and most secure way to access MySQL remotely.

Bluehost does however allow you to access the MySQL remotely without using SSH. You'd just tell them your IP address and they'll add the entire C class for that IP.
