Vbulletin Slow?

I'm currently having problems with my vBulletin forums running on my webspace. Do you have any idea why it is running slow? Would purchasing a dedicated IP be the way to go?

Vbulletin runs fine on my site. don't need dedicated IP. maybe it's the server box you are on...
