I am so new to this, so hopefully this isn't too dumb of a question! :o

When I create my webpage, what is the maximum width I can set a table to in FrontPage for it to be viewed properly after uploading to my site?

Thank you!
Jules

You can make a page as wide as you want. The question is whether or not the viewer will want to keep scrolling to the right to view the page. Most of us do not.

There are tons of opinions and articles out there. Try this one (http://www.entheosweb.com/website_design/advanced_web_design.asp) or google "web design screen size"

Also check the newsgroup microsoft.public.frontpage.client (http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.frontpage.client?lnk=gschg&hl=en) They just posted a new list of FrontPage resources (http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.frontpage.client/browse_frm/thread/684f2516ff31db58/03c5a503545fb525?q=Tina+Clarke&rnum=5#03c5a503545fb525)

There are no dumb questions - just dumb people. ;)

There is no limit to how wide you can make your tables but you want to consider that some people might be viewing your page with smaller screen resolutions like 640x480 or 800x600. You might want to consider using some flexibility in defining the widths of your tables and table cells. Instead of defining a hard width, you might want to call out percentages. Not being FrontPage saavy, I can't tell you whether that option exists or not, but you might be able to muck with the code after saving the HTML file.

Out of curiosity, is there a particular reason that you want a super-wide page?
