Is there a way to block emails sent to you by the IP origin? I know you can do this for your website so you can block whole countries from accessing it.
But can this possibly be done for your email as well? For instance if I wanted to block any email originating from China, Korea, etc....
Thanks!

See cPanel - IP Deny Manager.

Isn't that just for blocking to your website? Or does that work for email as well??

Log into your webmail like this www.yourdomain.com:2059 this will take you to the login page for your site, fill in the details for the account you want to log into, then use the box trapper to create a blacklist. that should work, make sure you have box trapper enabled through the control pannel first.

How does that filter by IP address? Each country has a range of IPs given to it and that's how I would like to block.
I tried the login link you mentioned (changing it to my domain) but it doesn't work.

You can also configure box trapper and spam assassin through your control panel go to email manager and then follow the links there was a really good link posted by ham to spam assassin how to here, here (http://www.surmunity.com/showthread.php?t=4223)
There you will hopefully find the info you require.

Thanks for the info Magpie, it was helpful. But is there a command I can place in the blacklist in boxtrapper to block an entire IP range?

I seem to remember reading somewhere if you enter the IP minus the last two or three digits it blocks the whole range, but you will have to double check that. Also if you are having spam problems (as we all do) make sure your email addresses on your site are secure and cannot be scraped or spidered, never give your address to anyone you don't trust 1000%, if you need to register or use a site that needs an email address use www.mailinator.com and get a disposable address.
Finally get a good spam filter on your PC. I use Kaspersky Internet security 6.0 and it has cut my spam to almost zero in a couple of weeks it is also an excellent AV anti spy ware and firewall. I don't even notice spam any more it goes straight to my deleted folder. So let them send as much as they want I hardly ever see it.
