I apologize in advance to those of you who find newbies annoying...

I've created an addon domain and want to attempt to create a WP2.0.4 theme for it, loosely based on the theme I use in my main domain. (If it helps...this (http://www.muchmorethanamom.com/) is the main and this (http://www.muchmoreopinionated.muchmorethanamom.com/) is the addon and I intend for them to be completely different but they now look exactly alike, including all the archives. Is this even possible with an addon?)
I have set up the ftp for the addon and transferred in a copy of the original files to edit, but that's as far as I have gotten. A few questions to begin with for those of you familiar with WP...
1. Do I begin at WP with setting up a new account, or can I modify what I have?
2. How do I clear the archives and start fresh if I don't need to create a new account?
