...why people use forum systems like vBulletin and Lithium. Lithium is just PURE evil. vBulletin is kinda... complicated.

i now use vbulletin

PhpBB can do anything the other "paid" forum software can do, and more. If youy know php fairly good, you can tighten security, and optimize it to run fast, and smooth...for FREE.

Since I have started using vbulletin, I would never go back to phpBB.
It is just so advanced, and so clean...what a wonderful software :D

VBulletin is probably the best. But I go with SMF because it's free and better than PHPBB.

I like vBulletin but 1. I can't afford it and 2 it is just too CPU intensive. It is much more efficient to run punBB on bluehost. It is very lightwiehgt, gets the job done, and clean.

i'll just stay with phpBB because i fear change and am too lazy to make a switch.

I use and like phpBB. It is free. Support is great, you can find tons of Mods and with launching of new phpBB site and new phpBB version V3.x it will be number 1 forum again.
