hi all,
i just put up my website last night. i understand that it isn't available for view for one to two days... but it says i can view it if i go to this link that has the ip address. but it just keeps giving me a quicktime icon with a question mark everytime i try to view my page.
any suggestions?
thanks much

You just put up your website (uploaded your files), or just signed up? Sorry, I'm not sure I follow the question.
When I signed up I don't recall seeing anything like that when I checked mine for the first time. I can't recall the page I got perfectly, but it had some brief bluehost info and something to the effect of them registering the domain, and that's all can remember. I don't recall seeing any quicktime related stuff. Are you able to access your cpanel, or access your site through FTP?

Hi sorry i wasn't more clear. I uploaded my pages last night and registered a new domain name. but they said because it's a new domain that it may take a day or to for the domain to work, so the sent me a another link that is temporary so that i can view my pages. i had no problem viewing them last night from my home computer. but now at work i can't view them. they are swf. files and one of them has a quicktime movie embedded. however. each page i try to load gives me that quicktime error. with the quicktime icon with a question mark.
any ideas?

Is there a firewall at your work that filters out certain content? I do know that some places of employment are now doing this, and it's getting harder and harder for people to get around them.
If you were able to see things at home chances are things are most likely A-okay. My guess is that it's probably something on your end at work, and not on bluehost's end.

Yeah, firewalls can be good and bad at the same time. :) Hope you get it worked out.
