Dear friends,
I have serious problems here.
I have added a new domain name called: "studysharing.com" to my hosting.
I am using Joomla to build my website. The problem is all the pictures of my website don't show up, even the Joomla Administrator.
You may try the link below:
1) www.studysharing.com
2) www.studysharing.com/administrator
I have checked my MySQL database and phpmyadmin, everything has been configured right.
Not only Joomla, but the other softwares at "Fantastico".
Here is another example which I used phpBB2 to install my forum.
Previously, all can be done. I have removed the "studysharing.com" domain name before, once I added back, all the problems above occur.
May I know what is going on?
By the way, I just tried to added few domain names, and same thing happen. Even I have tried to upload my own website which using Dreamweaver. All the pictures don't show up.
How to solve them?
Please advice!
Thanks and have nice day!
May God bless you!

I just looked at your source code and picked out an image that should have been shown ...
http://studysharing.com/images/M_images/opml.png
... I get "403 Permission Denied You do not have permission for this request /images/M_images/opml.png".
You should check to make sure that these directories have read privilege also make sure that you don't have leech protect on ... or if you do be sure that your new addons are allowed to access the images. My guess is that you just need to add your new domains into the "allowed" domain names of your leech protection.

Dear Siguie,
May I know what is "Leech Protect"?
Would you mind showing me how to do that to solve the problem? How to set new addons are allowed to access the images? What suddenly happen coz before that all addon domain names were all right.
Thanks and have a nice day!
May God bless you!

Anyways dreamweaver MX also has an error in the source code. You MUST take out all the root slashes, for example instead of /pic.png take out take the / and make it pic.png. Or instead or putting /images/pic.png put images/pic.png. The problem is te that if you put a forward slash it will not be a relative link. For example the link /pic.png would be interprted as domain.com/pic.png instead of currentfolder/pic.png.
Also i doubt its the leech project because i dont think he has ever used it in his life becuase he doesnt know what it is.

Dear Siguie,
I have checked my hosting. When I checked my permission on the particular file. All the permissions have been checked.
Why still can't access the file?
Warmest regards,
Kent

In CPanel click on "HotLink Protection" ... if you just want to quickly see if that's the problem click on Disable. Otherwise, you can just add http://www.learnhanyu.com and http://learnhanyu.com where it says "Urls to Allow Access". Then add your addon domains both with and without the www.
Also try 755 instead of 775 and make sure that your folders are also set to 755. Personally I have my pics set to 0644 which seems to work fine with BH and Joomla.
Anyways, this is a pretty trivial type of problem, I'm sure that the BH help desk would be able to fix it in just a minute or two if you can't get it to work.
If you don't mind me asking ... are you sure you want to use Joomla? Don't get me wrong I really like it and it's a great program but it does have the highest learning curve amongst the portal systems.
Anyways, it looks like the problem is your leech protection (aka HotLink Protection) I can get your icon image to show up with ...
http://www.learnhanyu.com/images/favicon.ico
So try the hotlink protection link in CPanel first.

I had a similar problem when re-writing my site... The Jpegs were in a folder "AB" and the re-written site was in a folder "new". When I loaded through cPanel, none of the Jpegs showed - until I moved them all from the folder "AB" to the folder"new" where the rest of the files were. Then each Jpeg in the new re-written pages had to have its propeties altered to the "new" folder. Then everything worked fine, just upload and overwrite each page. Hope this works for you.:)

Dear Siguie,
Yes, I have solved my problem. All the websites work well now.
Thanks Siguie, you really helped me up.
Actually, I wish to build a eCommerce website. I haven't tried Zen-Cart and osCommerce yet. And, never compared between them.
Yes, you are right, it does have the highest learning curve amongst the portal.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks and have a nice day!
God bless!

Also to make sure that things are proper you need to make sure that your configuration file has the correct absolute path.
$mosConfig_absolute_path = '/home/*yoursite*/public_html/*if in a subdomain*/joomla';
This is important to make sure that your editors will work. :)

Dear Friends,
Thank you very much! You guys are really helpful.
Now I have another serious problem in Error Log section.
In that section, I got a lot of error:
"/home/visitcam/public_html/administrator/components/com_astatspro/error_log:
[30-Oct-2006 02:18:19] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: mosConfig_passwordin /home/visitcam/public_html/administrator/components/com_astatspro/includes/config.inc.php on line 55

Here are only few. I know how to locate the files but what should I do after I have located the files????
Or do you guys have any links to the solutions?
Thanks and have a nice day!
May God bless you!

I literally spent between 12 and 15 hours trying to figure out why my addon JPEGs would load. I was sure it had something to do with my index.html file in the public_html folder. I can't believe one button click fixed this! Ooof!

Sometimes (more than likely most) it's the simple things that are over looked that cause the big problems. =P
