Directories are just open?

Hi there,

I'm new on Bluehost.com. I was a client of webhosting4life.com for 2 years now. Never had any problems with them though, but I just wanted more space then 2 GB they give there. So here I am...:)

Now the question:
I'm used with closed directories. Example:
http://www.mydomain.com/imageDirectory

When I visite it now I can see everything in the directory. That's not what I want. The files must not be visible for visitors. I think I have to protect every single directory with a password? Or is there an other solution for it?

Edit: I just found out I have to forbid access to the directory. Any idea how to do that?

Just put a blank index.html in your directories. You can also turn off indexes using the index manager in your cpanel.

You need to off the indexes of your directories. Go to your cpanel and then go to "Index Manager". click on the name of directory in which you want to hide the files. then choose "No indexes" and save the settings.
I hope this will solve your problem.
