First all my inboxes are gone, then I call your support center and setup the new imap server and now I get all my five e-mail accounts on one page, regardless which account name I enter. It takes 3-4 minutes to retrieve the e-mail. I can't run a business like this. What's going on? If you make changes you need to clearly let all of us now and provide clear instruction on how to recover.

What is all this IMAP set-up? I use Horde for all email and have folders set-up. Now that all my current emails for all accounts I have are missing along with folders, what is needed to be done? If there is something that needs to be set-up, why isn't this in a Sticky Thread here on the forum?

Hmmm, I just noticed that neomail is no longer a webmail choice for me. I think neomail uses foldernames like neomail-inbox, etc, so maybe they all got blown away when neomail got nuked.

AMEN !!!! WHen are we going to get clear instructions ? The boiler plate that is going out in resposne to tickets doesn;'t scratch the surface on what needs to be done. I feel llike I have entered a cycone of self-destruction!@

This is now affecting my Business!
We have over 500 tribal clients and we cannot receive emails.
I wish I would have known this before hand.

I have the same problem here.
I have used Horde to set up sub-folders for email accounts. I used those sub-folders to organize emails. All of sudden, the Horde program no longer shows the sub-folders of email accounts, and it seems that there is no clear instructions on how to retrieve the emails that I have moved into sub-folders.
I opened a couple support tickets, but was only told to check the forum and KnowledgeBase, which doesn't have clear instructions on how to deal with the sudden change.
Shouldn't we get warnings before bluehost make such changes? Shouldn't a clear document be posted in the knowledge base regarding how to migrate the data to mitigate the impact?

Well I figured a couple hours would have been enough time to fix this problem they're having, but I guessed wrong.
Still unable to receive emails.

I'm not sure what happened, but the server update that moved all the IMAP folders has cause a lot of problems. Using the instructions on the help base is not a adequate solutions.
I'm able to get to my folders due to knowing my email client, but its obvious that there is some major configuration issues with the new imap server.
It would be much appreciated if Bluehost would take our comments on this problem seriously and investigate the problem.

Since this e-mail migration I've been having problems with the Disk Space information on cPanel. The usual quota my clients have for their accounts is 10mb, but when I check the remaining disk space it says they're off the limit, even though the accounts are completely clean.
One of my accounts has no e-mail in it, but still shows a 20mb usage even with a 5mb quota.
Can anyone help me with this? Because I've tried to have this problem solved with tickets, live chat, etc. and no one seems to be able to help me.
Thank you.

I, too, am still having problems accessing my sub-folders. Opened a ticket last Wed, and support closed it. I re-opened it saying it's still a problem. No response from support as the ticket was due on Sat. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. This is driving me nuts as I can only access webmail at work.
Thanks.

I hit my unsubscribe in my options and it brought back all of my folders but my only problem now is that the program i use i can no longer retrieve external mail from my other accounts
If you go C-Panel...System Tools...Disk Usage...then click on your main mail directory, you can see that (at least in my case) the directories still exist and the usage. Perhaps someone smarter than me could figure out how to get those directories back where we can use them in Horde.
I use Outlook to retrieve email. When the email system originally went down last week, I went in and changed my passwords. That got me retrieving email again with Outlook. I know if you have a bunch of emails on your account that may not be realistic, but it worked for my 3. Might be worth a try if you are still not able to retrieve using Outlook.
My problem now, is that I can't access the spam boxes to delete spam and relieve the box warning I just got from Bluehost. So I went in and increased the size of the box. Hopefully a solution will come to light before the box fills to it's new size.

Sorry, but I'm not seeing the unsubscribe option. I must be blind as I went thru the options menu in Horde and checked (Personal Information, Locale and Time, Categories and Labels, Other Information, Display Options, Login Tasks, Remote Servers, Alternate IMSP Login, Rich Text Editor Options) and did not find the unsubscribe option.
Please provide more detail steps. Thanks!
I don't know if this will help anyone and you may have already tried this, but for those of you struggling with email access through C-Panel, try accessing your email through - email Manager...List/Add/Remove POP Email Accounts...then select Webmail for the appropriate account and provide password. Obviously this is a one email account at a time solution. For some reason this path gave me access to more email options. Still not the original playing field, but I was able to get to the spam box and that specific email address.
I also found that spam (maybe I'm stupid and everybody knows this) can be deleted in one swoop through...Email Manager...click Spam Assassin...then click the Clear Spam box. I didn't know that before, so through attrition I have become stronger. :D

I can't get any webmail since the switch and bluehost are ignoring my ticket after their initial useless response.
If I do as just suggested to get to a particular POP3 account I have no inbox for the specified account so I basically have no webmail at the moment and as usual bluehost support don't seem interested in fixing it.
Didn't everyone just receive an email from head honcho Matt H saying it's all going to be great?

Now just after posting this it appears they fixed my webmail :) Typical. But still it'd be nice to be told they fixed it ;)

It appears that bluehost has changed IMAP servers or configurations during their "upgrade" (I think they're using Courier now). Unfortunately, the IMAP delimiter and path have changed slightly which is probably confusing web mail clients with the old settings. I have opened a ticket on the subject (which as of this writing has been escalated, but is still unresolved):
FROM: [omitted]
SITE: [omitted]
ADDR: 209.232.227.72
I called about this yesterday, but I just wanted to make sure that this issue is tracked somewhere. Recently (I believe on the night of Nov. 7), the IMAP server on box77 was changed/upgraded. Since then, bluehost's installation of SquirrelMail has been confused as to what the mailbox delimiter and mail prefix should be. Since (as a user) I don't have access to the system-wide SquirrelMail configuration, I cannot change it on my own. I believe the following lines should be added/changed in SquirrelMail's config_local.php file:
$optional_delimiter = '.';
$default_folder_prefix = 'INBOX';
I'm pretty sure, these are the correct settings, but you may want to test to make sure. If you would like me to help with the verification, I will be happy to (please feel free to call me on my cell phone at [omitted]).
There also seems to be some related confusion posted on the forums: (http://bluehostforum.com/showthread.php?t=3278). It might be good if someone from bluehost's tech staff posted a response (or started a new topic) to address these concerns.
Incidentally, it appears that Horde does the right thing (at least it did when I logged in), but I don't use it regularly enough to be an authority. :-)
Thanks, and I hope this is helpful. Again, please feel free to contact me if additional information/assistance is required.
Since I don't use Horde, I'm unable to comment on how this change has affected those users. However, after a cursory inspection of the configuration options available to Horde users, the delimiter/prefix settings don't appear to be modifiable, so if you're experiencing trouble using Horde, I'd definitely file a ticket (http://helpdesk.bluehost.com/help).

If you're using SquirrelMail and your mailboxes have disappeared, you might try the following:
log into SquirrelMail
at the top of the page, follow the "Folders" link
at the bottom of the Folders page, use the "Unsubscribe/Subscribe" section to subscribe to all of your missing folders
Here are the equivalent instructions for Horde:
log into Horde
select the "Options" icon at the top of the page
in the "Edit options for:" drop-down choose "Mail"
in the "General Options" section, choose "Server and Folder Information"
make sure the "Use IMAP folder subscriptions?" option is checked and hit "Save Options"
select the "Folders" icon at the top of the page
select "Show Unsubscribed"
check the folders you wish to display (those in italics are currently hidden from you)
select "Subscribe to Folder(s)" from the "Choose Action:" drop-down
I'm not sure if this will help, but if you try any of the above, please share your experiences here.

Thanks for providing the above info. I tried it, but I did not see my sub-folders. Late last night, I received an email from the graveyard supervisor stating that my ticket has been escalated to level 3 support. Who knows how long that will take as it has been a week since I opened the initial ticket. Good luck.

my email is not being saved on the server, since Nov 8, that I have noticed... I'm using Apple's Mail app and have played around with settings for the last week or two now... nothing has changed, I'm always getting an error "Cannot save message with server." I can send and receive email fine, but nothing is being saved, it's kind of frustrating, I need them to be logged...
Anyone have any ideas that I could try ?

I have the EXACT SAME ISSUE.
Either Apple's Mail or any other client that I have tried (Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Evolution, etc). I noticed I have "lost" (not saved) about 20 days worth of sent emails.
Very disappointed.

I just found the solution to this.
It seems to be an odd Apple Mail quibble rather than an IMAP issue.
What you need to do is right click (command; click) on your top level IMAP mailbox and create a new mailbox inside of that one, you can name it anything as this doesn't matter.
Once you've done that then go to 'Mailbox' in the menu bar and select 'Use this mailbox for...', in the menu select 'Sent' and that newly created mailbox will jump down to the sent items section with any other mailboxes you have.
Repeat the process for each account you have and also do the same for Trash, Drafts, and Junk mailboxes, selecting the appropriate option in the 'Use this mailbox for...' menu.
I've been banging my head against a wall trying to figure this out since I signed up with Bluehost, finally it feels like a weight has been lifted.
Hope this helps!
:)
