Hey!

I have a problem sending e-mail with Outlook Express. I gues that it have to do with the SMTP Authentication. It say:

An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'sample@sample.com', Server: 'mail.sample.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '421 Cannot connect to SMTP server 70.103.16.184 (70.103.16.184:25), connect error 10061', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 421, Error Number: 0x800CCC67

I gues it must need to enable SMTP Authentication how i read @ the "Mail Account Maintenance". If yeas, how can i do it?

* sample is just a word not really the name.

** I am a customer of Bluehost

go to tools > accounts > properties > server tab and make sure you have the "my server requires authentication" box checked.

Thank you. This helped.

The strange thing is that with two domains set up two days apart (first a personal then a corporate) one lets me use port 25 (the company's) and the other one refuses to. Both my home computer and the office network use basically the same software and even the same ISP.
