View Full Version : Batch upload through WordPress?

Hi, everyone:

I think that I know the answer already but *deep breathe* here we go:

I have several articles that I've written for my site over the past couple of years that I would like to transfer over the WordPress, which will be handling most of my content from henceforth. Is there a batch method in WordPress to add several articles at once? Or has a plug-in been created to handle this?

I would just like to make it a little less labor-intensive, although if I dedicated a few hours each day over the next day or two, I could probably take care of most of these items.

I imagine that I could probably hack into the MySQL database and do an upload there but... any previous experience with this by forum members?

Have you taken a look at

http://codex.wordpress.org/Importing_Content

yet?

I had looked at the Import feature and I reviewed the post that you mentioned. The problem is that my content was not part of a canned content manager system; it was simply HTML files that I had created and managed on my own.

I would probably be able to copy each file and strip away the HTML, leaving just the text. Any other thoughts?
