View Full Version : Need help with adding a domain - I cannot even create a ticket!!!

Prior to posting here, I tried to open a ticket.
I retrieved my "Support Center" password. Logged in. Posted the ticket (about 5 times) - always got an error message

"ERROR: Invalid To: () or From: (ptiemann_2000@yahoo.com) address. Aborting."

The URL that provided this error message was:

Now to my real problem (I could care less about the help desk's problems):

I hope this posting gets seen by a BlueHost rep.

I'd appreciate a quick solution, I've waited over a week, to make sure the name server info has propagated.

My primary domain is delphifaq.com
I try to add my domain ed2kfiles.com
ad and add-on domain. I updated the nameservers for ed2kfiles.com with my registrar a week ago already.

I still get the error message below.

Thanks for the suggestion, I did not know about 'live chat'.
There was no chat operator available, so all I could do is send them a short note with a pointer to this thread.

I'll see what happens.

On a side note, I do have added other add-on domains without problems.

There was a problem with the helpdesk ticket system last night when I tried to post one as well, but after a brief chat with the live chat, they resolved that. Also tried transferring my domain registration from Godaddy to Bluehost today, and they had to clear the whois database cache, but then it worked. I don't know if your domain still being registered with Godaddy is adding to your problems or not. It's free to transfer to Bluehost, plus you get an additional year added to your domain renewal. You'll need to unlock your registration with Godaddy to start the process. Took me a total of about 15 minutes to go through the process today.

My other add-on domains are registered with Godaddy and joker.com, it has not been a problem for those.

I just paid at Godaddy for another 2 years ( I think ) and I don't want to register the domains with bluehost.

But thanks for the input.

I had the same issue with the ticket system. BH support told me that it was most likely because I didn't register and log in.

If all else fails give them a call. 1-888-401-4678.

the live chat is a joke. Sorry.
I've tried yesterday around 3pm and 5pm in THEIR time zone (Utah),
both times it would say 'No operator available'.

Now I tried for a 3rd time (2:50 pm THEIR time zone)
Still no operator available.

Sorry, this is worth nothing.

And I did leave them email messages with pointers to this thread.
No answer yet.

I also tried to call the number a few times. I was asked to press a number (I think 2 or 3 for support, no answer, not even a voice mailbox :-(

howdy again, it's sooo frustrating when things like this happen, how much greyer are you??

Looks like all has been reolved though, there is a site at ed2kfiles.com and it has the lovely BH ico so it's on the right host :)
