Zone alarm and redirect

For some reason i couldn't reach my site today normaly. I thought it had something to do with .htaccess and url redirection through url-rewrite. I was able to reach all other sites including subdomains of my site. Turned out that the cause was the zonealarm firewall on my pc. I have no idea why.
Anyone else experienced such weird zonealarm behaviour:confused:
