Shell Access - Questions & Activation

Hi, Benjamin from the support team told me by e-mail that he could activate SSH if I send the last four numbers of my credit card, cuz my parents wont let me send a passport copy by fax or e-mail, I sended the last four numbers of my credit card and SSH isnt activated yet :confused:

Is there any problem?
If there is a problem I can send more information to get SSH activated :D
I just want this activated cuz I want to add my site map to google site maps


Now the Questions:
1. If my SSH gets activated, does my domain is on risk?
2. I want to put a radio conected to my account brandwidth, I know how but if I put the radio does my account could be hacked?
3. Why SSH is not enabled by defaul?

Because that could be very dangerous. There's a lot of things you can do with shell access if you're a mean person, so we make sure we can verify who you are if you need it.

Give customer service another call and ask them what's up, they can tell you better than anyone here can. :)

On the other hand, you absolutly don't need ssh access to use google sitemaps. I have a google sitemap on all of my bluehost websites, and i only wish I had ssh access.
