I'm interested in hosting a podcast on my site. What would it take (not the production side, but the hosting side)? Thanks.

I'm completely happy with a $25 (USD) program called Wimpy MP3 Player for podcasting from within a site. www.wimpyplayer.com
I have no affiliation with the company, I just like their product.
www.podcastalley.com is a good site for tons of information as well (click the Software link, among others).

Using Wordpress is an effective way to host a blog. The enclosures for the postcast are automatically created and put in the RSS feed. All you have to do is upload your podcast .mp3 and create a link to it in a blog entry. A friend of mine just did that at http://brainwave.bibliotech.us/.

I have 2 Podcast. I host them in blue host but I'm always checking my bandwith limits. I don't have that many listeners yet but in case my audience grow a lot, I will use ourmedia.org for sharing the hosting and bandwidth, it's free.
BlueHost it's great! I'm very happy with It. Fantastico is so easy to use for installing wordpress other blogs, ecommerce, forums, image galleries, etc.
