trouble logging into control panel?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone is having problems logging into their control panel. It seems to be an intermittent problem whereby I get sent to the usual redirecting web page... but then it just hangs and doesn't go any further. When this happens I normally can't log in for several hours and have to just simply come back later in the day and try again.

Anyone else ever get this?

If you're having some issues logging into the cpanel, you might try logging in through a "back-up" address.

Go to: http://login.bluehost.com

This logs into the cpanel using port 80, (the standard HTTP port) vs the typical cpanel port (2082).

If you cease to have problems logging in by using port 80, you may have some issue with a firewall, or some other sort of filtering.

Cheers - that seems to be the problem. My college network must be blocking the ports. The backup login system works fine for me.

I seem to have this problem when using Firefox. It connects to the page and then just hangs. When I use IE I get in fine. However, this solution worked for me.
