I replaced the deafault.html with my own index.php but I still get the default page... can anyone help me with this?

You may just need to clear your browser cache.

I thaught of this too and it didn't work... strange. Like if I goto myurl/index.php I get my page but if I just goto myurl I get the bluehost page

If you delete the default.html, that result shouldn't be possible. After all, the server can't serve up a non-existent page!

Make sure that the old default.html is really deleated and it wouldn't hurt creating an index.html page either.

It's really strange, my friends say it comes up frine on their computers and it even works for me through a proxy browser but on each of my 5 computers at home on both IE and FF nomatter if I clear the history or refresh the page the bluehost still displayes for me... anyone know why?

dox hold CTRL and press F5. I'm almost positive that should clear up the problem. Once I had a problem where typing http://www.website.com and http://website.com (for my own website) showed different results. Make sure this also isn't the problem.
