I just set up an addon domain at www.feedingbaby.net . My primary site is www.surfing-gear.net . I have an email at contact@surfing-gear.net and want one for contact@feedingbaby.net . I added that address to pop3 and tried to use it thru webmail (horde) but it doesn't work . Anybody know how to do this?

The url is:

http://www.feedingbaby.net/webmail

What do you mean when you say "it doesn't work". Do you get an error?

Let us know...

Hi Schelly, thanks for the reply. I guess I am confused as to what the mail is or how to set it up. I never used a URL go access contact@surfing-gear.net . I just used the cpanel to create pop3 account and then clicked the webmail button, then horde, and I was able to send and receive emails that way.

I tried to set up the same thing for my new addon domain with contact@feedingbaby.net but I only keep keeps sending/receiving contact@surfing-gear.net. As far as the url www.feedingbaby.net/webmail I tried that but the nothing ever loads (page cannot be displayed). Is this something else I am supposed to set up?

Please let me know, I want to register a few more addon domains but I first want to know that I have full functionality with addons, including email. Thanks

No, if you created the pop3 account for your feedingbaby.net domain, then you shouldn't have to do anything more. But Horde etc. can be picky about your logging in and out activities. In other words, if you aren't logging out it is possible that Horde just assumes you want to keep using the surfing-gear.net domain account.

I personally don't like many webmail solutions. I'd much rather use something like Thunderbird with IMAP configuration so the email stays on the server and doesn't take up my hard drive space. That way, you can set up all your accounts under one software package and simply click into them from a single interface via the folder display that you have on the left side of the screen.

To each his/her own - but my suggestion would be to try logging out completely of your webmail, close your browser windows, then open a new one fresh and try the URL I gave you. It gives you the same screens as when you log in via your control panel.

:)

Thanks, that did it. I logged out completely and logged in with other email address into horde.

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the correct thread for this, but I couldn't find another and since this is so closely related... here goes. If this is not correct, please let me know which thread to use or if I should start a new thread.

I've got a domain registered with bluehost, got-downloads.com. I also have a domain that's being hosted and is registered with another company. I want to transfer that domain, info2wealth.com, to bluehost and use bluehost to get my email. Is it better to just add it as an addon and keep it with the current registrar but cancel the hosting? Or is it better to transfer the domain to bluehost? I only need the domain for email not for webhosting.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
