Hi all, in need of help please, any drupal gurus around???.
I have drupal installed on an addon domain which dumps a pile of code into the htaccess. Most of it is not in use.
But all of a sudden over the past week I keep getting the following added to the file whenever I go in there to check something to do with redirections:
# File modified on Sat Jan 13 06:20:01 2007 by server
# Rewrite is not a supported htaccess directive
I had a live chat session in relation to the redirection of the subdomain to the addon domain which keeps getting blanked out with the above directive as follows
kris: try removing that code. Im not a coder so i really dont know that code
Rhonda (shisutan): can you switch me to someone who will know please?
kris: try removeing it and see if that fixes your problem
kris: there is no one i can switch you to
Rhonda (shisutan): rewrite conditions have worked previously with that code but now thye don't it throws back the above message plus many others in the file, I need to find out why and where to put the code if not there
kris: you put the code in the .htaccess files. Now if that code is written correctly or not i don't know. You could open a ticket and helpdesk.bluehost.com and see if you can get a response from someone there.
Rhonda (shisutan): okay, is this not helpdesk?
kris: yes but we are not coders but there are some that are
kris: we dont do any coding for websites
Rhonda (shisutan): it's not coding it's the basic redirection for the subdomain to addon domain
kris: in the control panel you can click the redirect button to create redirects for addon domains and subdomains.. If that code is not working clear out the .htaccess and recreate the redirections there.
kris: If there redirections there dont work then a ticket will have to be created because something will be wrong with that.
Rhonda (shisutan): thank you for your time bye
kris: have a great day
Does any one have any ideas please?
oh yeah the big problem is that when it gets blanked out I can't access my admin settings for some reason? really wierd to me but maybe a drupal expert will have a clue.
Thanks
