Some of my background processes are being killed after 30s or so by Bluehost. I've come to this conclusion, because when they run in the foreground there is not this problem! Does anyone know why on earth this is happening? Quite frustrated!

Each account is limited by a CPU quota of 30 secs. Search the forum for CPU Quota

So, you're implying that I can't have any process that runs not attached to a console for more than 30s? Even if it runs idle? What about FastCGI processes? Are these then killed every 30s? This would seem like a waste of resources considering the whole point of these processes is to cut the cost of setup!
A little confused if this is the case!

You'll probably have to ask support on this. If it's idle and it's still killing it, then I would think that it would be ok.
