Anybody know if there's a way to change the "main" email account?

No. Your main email account will be the same as your username. You can always add a new account and then forward the main email to that account.

Well, that's a pity. It's a bit unwieldy, and I'd never use it. And wordpress uses it to email me with (as far as I know there's no way to change that).

Thanks!

Is there some reason you can't set up your main account to forward to the address you want to use?

No, and I guess I should do that. But I don't see why that has to be the best option.

And I can't figure out how to get wordpress from using the main account to send me emails (eg when comments are posted). Forwarding wouldn't do any good there.

Every account HAS to have a main account name and email, that's just how cPanel works, there isn't anyway around that.

By forwarding your main email account to another account would forward ALL and ANY email sent to that account, including stuff from WP.

You can also change the default email in WP.

WP-admin >> Options >> Change the E-mail address and save it.
