View Full Version : Home page expired?
On my home page it says my domain is it expired and is pending deletion/renewal why is this?
And it only says it on the home page not on any other pages

It's just that one page that has that on it all my other pages work fine.

You need to contact Bluehost about this. The "whois" record for your domain shows conflicting information about when it expires - in one place, it indicates that it's good until Jan. 28, 2008, but in another place, it says it expired on Jan. 28 2007. Only BH can correct it.
Okay I sent in a ticket. Now it's even WORSE! It's happening on every single page now! X_X this sucks
Time to find another host methinks..
Know of any good ones?
P.S. I just checked cpanel and it is 54 days until I need to renew my account so this is DEFINANTLY a problem on bluehost's end.

You afraid of the phone or something? 1 888 401 HOSTAgreed - putting in a ticket is NOT the way to resolve this. Phone them, or open a live chat session (if you're not in the U.S., which makes phoning expensive).
In cpanel there is a link to the forum and a link to the ticket thing, no other options for support :S
I don't fancy expensive phone bills. Can you please tell me how to get to the chat session thing? I see "Chatroom" under addons/plugins but I'm pretty sure that's not what you're referring to..

It is at www.bluehost.com
Big blue button, in the bottom left corner of the page. Your section will probably be Support >> Site Unavailable
I tried clicking that but it gave me a blank page =(

Well, it could be that the firefox you using does not support non standard Microsoft standards. Which is not too good. :p We like Microsoft for the streamline technology they bring, but we also hate it because they're good at it!!!! In a sence, some of us are player haters.

OH it is a seperate website then bluehost.com so I also had to allow it to run java/cookies for it to work
Now it works ^^
Thanks

See, when you use products with more security holes in it than Holland cheese, you dont have to worry about things like that.
Yay after just a few minutes of chatting it is fixed ^_^
Sorry for overeacting at first lol I was just worried I was gonna have to find another host and I didn't wanna cause I really like bluehost =)

Domain registration and web hosting are two different things entirely and so as you had a problem with the domain moving the hosting would have had no affect anyway.
A lot of people seem to get these two things confused. In a lot of cases where people buy both from the same place one of them (usually the domain) is actually being bought from a recommended third party rather than the place you are dealing with to make the purchase and the hosting provider has no control over any issues with the domain registration after you have bought it (this isn't the case with BlueHost because their recommended third party domain supplier is another company owned by BlueHost so the same staff look after both if you buy your domain through the BlueHost links).
???
I got my domain from bluehost when I paid bluehost to host my website. I didn't go through any "third party" people.
And it's working again now since I used that live chat thingy
