Can someone suggest which blog software to use?
right now i have the b2evolution installed, but i am not sure if it suits my needs.
i like the features with different catagories and all, but overall i feel akward using it.
im not looking for something that is its own special place on my webpage, i am looking for something that i can use SSI to include it into like my main page, perhaps in the main area show stuff for news, and maybe on my link menu table, maybe have the latest titles of the posts?
any suggestion would greatly be appreciated.
Blogger (http://www.blogger.com/start) is good. Many templates or you can make your own. My blog is actually my web page and the content chages as I add an entry to my blog. But including content from your blog into your page would work as well.

is there a way to seperate what blogger generates?
i mean i like the previous post and the stuff over on the right....
but i dont want that included with the actual blog itself....
i use want to use SSI to unclude the blog posts to my main webpage, and i alredy have SSI set up to include my navigation bar, and want to add like the previous posts and stuff to that same file.....
or does blogger not do that kind of stuff?
You could create a new blog template with just the blogger elements you want to appear in your page. Then include your blog into your page with SSI.
For example, if you just want the blog entries themselves to appear, then your template would just simply be:
<$BlogItemBody$>
Here is a list of blogger tags you can use to create your template.
Template Tags: defined (http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=778&topic=39)
Hope this helps

thank you!
however, i take it it will just generate one file?
You can create multiple blogs. I am using 3 seperate blogs to comprise the 3 columns of my start page (http://www.edenite.us/edenite/).
try CuteNews. it's a news script that uses plain text files to store the stuff, and you create the design of the boxex, and you include it with php into any page - www.cutephp.com

but once i install it and try it out, my opinion might change.
i wish i knew programmer better, let alone in php alone to make my own with the features i want.
I remember many years ago their was a cgi script called NewsPro that i used to use, but that project has been long sence abbandoned, but that one i remember had many plug ins to do the things i wanted.

I use Wordpress 2.0 with the Kiwi theme (no.oneslistening.com). Great combination!

hmm everyone seems to be suggesting worspress, maybe i should try it out again....
for me it was confusing trying to get my own 'theme' though, i dont like the premade ones, because well it made it its own page. i just want basic stuff, like a table with one row for title, and another for the body, to where i can use SSI to include it to my main webpage, i didnt figure out how to do that with wordpress.
