View Full Version : Registrar Problems. Can BlueHost Assist

I have had an ongoing battle with RegisterFly to change and transfer my domain name. Support tickets have gone unanswered for months and phone calls result in some flimsy excuse about "technical problems" that should be "resolved shortly".

I sent a complaint to ICANN and received a very nice response, stating they are aware of the problems with RegisterFly and are working to resolve things. But that really won't help me in the hear and now.

So, it just occurred to me. One thing I *CAN* do (I think) is to change the DNS to point to the BlueHost DNS. Once that's done, can BH simply point the domain to my existing domain? I don't really want it as an add-on domain, but rather a duplicate domain. IE specialopsdivision.com and specialopsdivision.us will go to the same page, and emails sent to the .com will go to the .us addresses.

Is this doable?

Thanx

Just set it up as a parked domain and it will point to the same page.

Looks like I celebrated too soon :(

Error from park wrapper: Using nameservers with the following IPs: 69.25.142.1,216.52.184.230,63.251.92.193,64.74.96. 242,70.42.37.1 Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver.

Do you have the domain name pointing at Bluehost's nameservers?
