Hey all! Is it at all possible to make ftp accounts that are just "username" instead of "username@garbage.com"? It makes me cry every time I have to put my domain name after the login.

I am not talking about the main account login that I use to access my whole site, but additional FTP accounts that I create.

Thanks!

No. Since there are many other domains on one box, you have to have a unique login, and your domain name would be unique.

And for some reason bluehost's ftp server can't tell if I'm accessing it from example.com or example.net?

It would be pretty easy to figure out which domain the person is accessing the FTP from, so frankly I don't see why we have to attach it to our ftp names.. at the very least the username shouldn't contain an @ symbol, I could see maybe an underscore..
