How do I prevent someone from typing in a url to directly access a page versus going through the home page. In other words, I have some forums setup on my site, but I don't want direct links to them. Is this possible? Thanks

I know it can be done somehow.
I've seen some webshobs that if you send a friend a link to show them a new camera, you get redirected to the main page.
How it's done I don't know unrotunately.
Probably something in the .htacces file.

in cpanel you can make certain (or all) folders password protected. Under Web Server Config go to Password Protect Directories. You might also want to look into the Hotlink protection.
