Hi,
Why is there such a huge difference between the stats shown by Webalizer, and those of Google Analytics?

Personally I prefer AWstats (http://www.cheap-webhosting.in/blog/awstats-introduction-and-hosting/) to Google.

Ive used addfreestats (http://www7.addfreestats.com/cgi-bin/showuni3.cgi)
for a few years but i have noticed that number of hits has gradually gone down due to it not picking them up. I see guests on my forum and these stats dont even see them I dont know if its firewall or cookie related or what.. Has anybody else noticed this?

Statcounter recently had a blog post (http://blog.statcounter.com/?p=4) that some other major free stats provider cut a deal with an adware network. Maybe you should check that. Another free stats software is HTTP_Analyze (http://www.http-analyze.org/).

Have you had a look at the new Google Analytics? Before, I would have agreed with you... but now Analytics are WAY better.
