I have my outlook express set up to retrieve email from BH, but every time I reboot it resets the incoming server to my ISP. Can this be fixed? If not, is it possible to set up a forwarder to send to my ISP and still have outgoing connection?

Not having any information specific to your ISP or your PC makes this sort of a guess. I figure your ISP has some sort of connection software that you've installed on your PC. One of it's annoying functions is that it wants to control your config of Outlook Express. You could try this:

(From within Outlook Express and after a reboot where your settings were altered)

Go to TOOLS
Select ACCOUNTS
Select the MAIL tab (if not already selected)
Double left-click on the account listed there with the ISP settings
Uncheck the "Include this account when..." option at the botton of that page.
Click OK

Then proceed to setup your Bluehost account again via the ADD button on that MAIL tab.

In many situations, ISP connection software looks for it's own settings to make sure they exist and are accurate, not necessarily that they are active or the only account. If this is the case with your ISPs software, this may help.

Good luck,

Thanks, it didn't work but thanks anyway. It's these little annoyances that can drive you up a wall.

This doesn't sound right. I would check your system for hijackers. do a Google search for CWShredder and scan your system t see if that solves the problem.

Anyway yes you can forward your email to your isp email no problem. That's what I do. Just set it up in the cPanel.

Good luck on that.

Personally, I don't like Outlook or Outlook Express... my hubby is always having problems with it...
I use Eudora which always works well for me... You can set up multiple "personalities" to download email from various ISP's or hosting accounts... I have several websites and download email from all of them, so I have to have seperate personalities for each of them and Eudora has no problem with them. You can also specifiy which ones you want to check and download email from.
There are also other email clients available like Pegasus Mail, which is free, I believe...

Yeah, that doesn't seem right, I use outlook and it works fine for me. Are you adding a new mail account and following the instructions here:

The one thing I can do is follow directions.;) I set it up just fine, and it works just fine until I reboot and the incoming server gets set back to my ISP. I'm sure it's a problem with my ISP, but thanks for all your input.
