If you have an IP address somewhere near 70.22.125.238,
please see if you can access http://helpdesk.bluehost.com/
or ping it at 70.103.140.7.

From the 238 IP, I can access other bluehost.com servers, but NOT helpdesk.

I did traceroutes from that PC and from a different PC using a different ISP (which works). Comparing the traceroutes shows that I am making it all the way to the last machine before helpdesk.

I emailed bluehost and they say there was an error in the firewall, but it is fixed. I think it is NOT fixed, but it would seem odd if I am the only one who can't get through. (My IP is from Verizon DSL in Maryland.)

If you can't get through, please post a reply here or send me a message. Thanks.

Bluehost support found and fixed a "routing issue". I have access once again to helpdesk.bluehost.com, and you should too.

If you ever have issues with Bluehost, just call the Phone number at the bottom of their homepage. They answer quickly and are great at solving the issues.

I hate the phone. I only use the phone if it's the last resort.

In this case, I emailed the support address. I couldn't initially convince them there was a problem because apparently only a very narrow range of IP addresses was affected. But they fixed it--probably just as fast as they would have if I had phoned.
