Hi I wanted to know if it was possible for the server admin(s) to upgrade Imagemagick as there is a vulnerability in the version that is installed on BlueHost server and as such Gallery 2.1.1 complains about it and it recommended not to continue.
Thanks.

if you need support of an admin you need to call or email support directly. These are member to member support forums. Not much we can do, except tell you to call support. However sometimes admins of BH will come and reply, but it's not everyday. The fastest way woud be to goto support

Yes, I agree.
I have asked for Image magic quite a few times in the past but was told no.
I have thought about moving to a new host in order to obtain it, but I have waited hoping that they will eventually install it.
I really like Bluehost and have been with them for several years now. They were recommended to me with the highest possible recommendations.
I think tonight and only one other times has my website and host ever been down, though they seem to be having some server problems lately.
They always keep on top of things and their customer service is generally fast and polite, though one tech support was sort of snotty to me yesterday in a reply e-mail - but that was the first time ever... maybe he hadn't had enough sleep or wanted to watch Friends on TV but the Cable connection was down.
I hope they will add Imagemagic, it is on the top of my list of things that would help place bluehost back on my never consider leaving list.
I am also being tempted by web host providers who run the Vbulletin option. The same thing this forums runs on. That is one nice overall system.

ImageMagick is installed on the servers, it should be working for you. If it isn't, please open a support ticket.
As for a security hole in ImageMagick, I'll have one of my guys look into it. I beleive we are on the latest redhat patch release, meaning that even if the version is a little older, it has all the security patches in it.
As for snotty techs, that is not a good thing. Send me the ticket number in a private message, and I will make sure it is addressed.
Lastly, vbulletin is a commercial forum software package, with a price tag around $200 or so. It will run just fine on a bluehost account.
