I need to block a former friend turned cyberstalker's ip range from viewing our family website. I ended the friendship with her when I realized she was mentally unstable and she's been stalking us for 2 years since. Her behavior is escalating and we need to nip this in the bud. So far, we can't get enough evidence on her to prosecute but we are waiting for her to trip up. She's a very scary person who has made threats against her own children. I'd appreciate the help. She has the ability to fly anywhere, any time for free so I am concerned for my 5 children's safety.

When I block her IP, she gets around it pretty quickly. What do I need to enter into the IP block in Bluehost to block her range?

NetRange: 72.15.64.0 - 72.15.127.255
CIDR: 72.15.64.0/18

Is there a way to block her from our blogger account or do I need to move that to our server?

I really appreciate any help you can give.

Does the site have to be accessed by everyone? Blocking by ip is only a band aid to your bigger problems. More a deterrent since anyone with enough motivation can get in through the local star bucks, Library or a neighbors unsecured wireless connection.

What you can try is to set up a password to access the site through cpanel and only let the trusted inside. If that option is available through blogger then do that. Restrict access by default, I don't think there's any other way to be sure.

Hope you get it resolved, good luck.

Cpanel >> IP Deny >> insert this 72.15.64.0/18

Thank you to everyone who answered.:)

When I enter 72.15.64.0/18 into BlueHost's IP Deny manager, I get an error message saying it is not a proper IP address.:(

Instead, I was told to enter 72.15.*.* and that blocks everything in that range. I tried it with my own IP address and it worked. This will block her IP even if she resets her modem which is what I was told she was probably doing to get around the previous blocks. All of her IP #'s start with those 2 #s.

The only way she can access it now is through another connection with another IP provider....a neighbor or the library or subscribe to a new one. I know she can't get out to do that much since she is pretty much home bound.

 I am wondering, if she uses the software on the market (like http://www.privatenavigator.com/GetAnonymous/Hide_IP_address.asp) to hide her IP address if she will get around the block? Anyone know?

But, in case she does that, I am also using password protect on all new content and we have used wordpress to import our blog to a password protected area on the site. She's already seen the old stuff and we're enjoying meeting the decent folks on the internet who come by. But, hiding the new stuff from her will hopefully end her obsession.
