I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, but here is a guide explaining how to set up the FTP client in Dreamweaver: http://caheinfo.wsu.edu/webtips/dreamweaver/ftp.html
hope that helps =) in the future, please use your shift key ;)

Hi,
If I understand you correctly, you've uploaded some files to your server via FTP, but now you want to edit them and maybe apply a template to them.
This isn't the usual way to build a website. Normally, what you do is create the site (and give it a template, if you like), and when it's ready, you upload the files to your server. Then, every time you want to make a change to the files on your server, you basically need to download the file to your computer, edit it as required and then upload the new version to your server again, over-writing the older file.
If you just want to have a blog or a diary, there are easier ways of setting these up which don't require you to use FTP or HTML.
Cheers,
Tom
