I have searched the knowledge base and these forums for any information but I cannot seem to find a solution.

I'm behind a firewall at work that does not allow me to connect with a standard FTP program (If you know of a solution to get a normal FTP program to work, please let me know).

When I try to use the File Manager from within the cPanel (Control Panel) I get an error everytime, no matter the file type or size.

I from time to time like to add some files to my host and make changes when I'm bored at work and everytime I try an upload using the File Manager I get this error.

move /home/dtwowebd/tmp/cpanel.TMP.DHv1nLV446hyNnVX, /home/dtwowebd/public_html/thestevensonfamily/wp-content/plugins/wp-lightboxJS/lightbox.css failed: No such file or directory
C:\Save\wp-lightboxJS\lightbox.css (lightbox.css): upload failed.

All the directories exist... and everything looks correct from my end but the file always fails to upload.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably the same firewall that's blocking your ftp program, although it is more likely that the company is blocking certain ports.

Unless its a recent change that isn't it. I used to use this function all the time to upload files when I didn't have an FTP program to use.

Though you could be right... any way to find out what port would be used for that?

Can you upload from places other than your work?

cPanel uses port 2082, I don't know if it uses something else to upload the files.

The fact that you can't connect using an ftp program leads me to believe that they're at least blocking port 21.

if the company firewall is blocking the ftp port or the cpanel, basically there is nothing you can do. However, its unlikely that teh workstation ftp port is block to upload/download file online.

check your windows firewall setting, make sure its not block locally.
