Hi ok iv spent the last few hours trying to get Wordpress installed through Fantastico, i set it up and it was working fine for about an hour, then all of a sudden i wasnt able to log in to my admin area of wordpress anymore.

I kept trying but it never worked, so i tried re-installing wordpress again via Fantastico but i got the following error:

"The installation can not be completed:

You cannot install more than one script in the root directory of a domain."

So i played around with the files on my server and deleted the wordpress files in the Public_html and tried re-installing but i got the same error.

Im totally lost now, and cant work it out, any suggestions?

You have to tell fantastico you uninstalled it.

That's.. not what I meant. Go to cPanel, click on Fantastico, click on the WordPress link and click on Remove next to your installation.

Oh Offcourse sorry, i tried doing that it gave me the following error:

"A necessary component needed for removal could not be found. Please remove this installation manually. Additionally delete:
- The MySQL database "themonf3_wrdp1"
- The MySQL user "themonf3_wrdp1"
- The Fantastico settings file "/home/themonf3/.fantasticodata/WordPress/themoneymakingblog.co.uk|"

I tried looking for the files but i cant find them, btw thanx alot for helping me out here.

When you first open File Manager there is a folder called '.fantasticodata', there should be a folder called WordPress under that and you should delete anything that's in there.

To delete the database and user go to MySQL Databases under cPanel and just delete them.

Might I suggest getting in touch with BlueHost support staff to see if they can correct the problem?

support@bluehost.com

The file wouldn't delete so i contacted the support team via the live chat service, they reset my server, so the wordpress installation was wiped off but that didn't solve my actual problem.

I re-installed wordpress, and now it doesn't let me log into the admin area, i contacted the support team again and they said they don't have anything to do with that!

Man this is a big head ache! :(

do as the error message said. no duplicate installation to the same folder or root.

second will be install wordpress only when the domain in complete propagation. i faced problem with this once. waste of effort. Worth to wait a day or two.
