Hello all, I'm new here so need guidance but first I need to know if anyone else has experienced what I am at the moment.
I am in the process of creating a website for my guild, today when I tried to log into bluehost first it was slow then all of a sudden my screen turned all blue. I tried to change this under properties and by doing a system restore to no effect. then I thought perhaps my monitor may be dying so I plugged in another one, it was fine until I logged into bluehost. it happened again. is this a by product of the website? how do I fix it?
Thank you :D

Have you ever used spybot search & destroy?

I seriously doubt that could be causing this, but I suppose it's a possible factor.

Bluehost.com is the only website that causes this to happen?

I think this counts as a general question. Plus anything posted in that forum is going to be lost to a wave of spam within minutes.

I would run some scans on your computer if I were you.

Spybot Search & Destroy - Spyware scanner http://www.safer-networking.org/
Adaware - Spyware scanner http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
AVG - Virus scanner http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1

Also use a firewall

sygate (http://www.download.com/3000-2092-10049526.html)

zonealarm (http://www.download.com/3000-2092-10039884.html)

basically, its BH website/control panel done nothing to your browser. Its simple as browsing a website.

if blue screen, most likely is hardware failure, memory problem at RAM, or more commonly is the hard disc failure. I just got a new 160GB HDD replaced, cause of crash problem lately. Now... if performing stable and very fast.

Theoretically, the browser may be trying to access a memory address that it can't, which is causing the computer to crash. It would help if we knew what the stop error was. A blue screen has a description of why it occurred, so you can get a general idea of what the problem is.

I'm saying faulty RAM or possibly a software conflict.

err RAM problems are more common than hard drive imo. Not everyone does jumping jacks on top of their computer.. hard drives usually dont have issues unless they get jolted around a lot, RAM is more susceptible to problems do from bad electricity. Only time I had a problem with my harddrive is after umm.... throwing it.......

Thank you all for your help.
there has been no error message, just the color was all that changed. I will try some scans and such and try to fix it, perhaps get it looked at :o .

Does the computer crash? Maybe it isn't a BSOD..

You could try hitting ctrl+alt+del, if it brings up task manager or the login menu then you are probably dealing with some malicious script.

I would try using a different browser and see if it still happens as well, if you're not using firefox I recommend you go install that.

Definitely get somebody to check it out, it's hard to diagnose something without being in front of the computer.
