Hello,
I'm so glad I found this forum as I been going nuts trying to get a nice counter for my website. Right now I use site meter's counter. It's actually a nice counter but it was blocked two weeks ago by my work (and lord knows who else...) and so whenever my co-workers or I would goto my website it would take forever to load the page (because they are blocking the URL) and the page would load without the counter.
So, I then went on the control panel on Bluehost and checked out some counter options and I saw the CGI counter but everytime the page was refreshed/viewed it would increase in number. I don't want that, I want it to show the unique number instead. So I then put the sitemeter counter back on the page and took out the CGI counter.
I guess the reason for this thread is, is it possible that bluehost can actually develop a counter that links to the actual number of "unique vistors" from my AWSTats statists page?
Right now my AWSTat's are :
Month Unique visitors Number of visits Pages Hits Bandwidth
Jan 2006 68 190 14314 62122 37.91 MB
Feb 2006 138 277 11132 45361 57.39 MB
Total 206 467 25446 107483 95.30 MB
Right now my Site meter counter shows "146" which isn't to far off the unique vistors from AWStat's (dunno why its off by that much, maybe AWSTat took a nap or something. heh heh)
Either way, The AWSTats is simply amazing, its my favorite statistics page that bluehost supports. I emailed Matt but I know Matt is busy with other stuff and with a billion emails a day, he might of looked over the email I sent him so I figured to ask some other bluehost people about this.
Any help would be great! :-)
