I seem to be having problems with adding a new Domain. I have added one before, and figured it out, only to not remember what I did.
So here's the deal, I am trying to do an addon domian. I have the dns pointing to bluehost DNS, and did the addon domain in Cpanel. I added one before ( tomcan.net), and it's right, I seem to remeber something about fantastico and the setup to get it right. here is my fantastico:
/ (1.0.12) Visit site Remove
/nosegayflorist (1.0.12) Visit site Remove
tomcan.net/ (1.0.12) Visit site Remove
I have a domain in the root. I want to add nosegay just like tomcan, tomcan works like it should. I wish fantastico would show me the settings I used for tomcan, i don't like guessing and installing things. Trial and error is not a good idea.
Can anyone tell which options I should select to add "nosegayflorist/" like that, where it's a completely different domain.
TIA
Tom

fantastico is not used for add domain.
login to cpanel, and you will see the addon domain on top.
some reference here that i wrote.

I guess it should be fantastico setup problem instead.
I have added the domain without a problem, now I am trying to install another joomla with fantastico the way I did on the other site. If you look at my fantastico listings, tomcan.net show's up like this"tomcan/". When I added nosegayflorist it show's up like this "/nosegayflorist". The way I did it before I didn't need to tweak the .htaccess file it just worked as a seperate domain.
Right now nosegayflorist.net comes up right on the home page but as soon as you click on the main menu it reverts to phenixcitynow.com/nosegayflorist.
I wanted to install nosegay with the / infront lik eI did tomcan, just can't remeber how I did it, and didn't want to guess.

I saw where fantastico had a problem yesterday, so maybe I'm not crazy.
What I'm going to try to do is uninstall nosegay with fantastico, then re-install it, selecting nosegay as the domain, leaving the folder blank, then filling out the rest of the options as normal. I'll post it if that works.
Seems my website has been down again all day. I've checked with bluehost 3 times and everytime they say it will be back in a few minutes. That's what they told me at the end of March when it was down for 3 days.
If we keep having these kind of problems, the point is moot as I will have to search for another host.
I will post how this works when my site comes back up. It may come in handy the next time I do this, or just help someone else out.

you might need to forward this issue.
remember the first month i signup, and got connectivity issue.
finally few chat with bluehost support, and the issue is brign forward to network side admin. which later found out some firewall issue.
it was fixed. lucky me.

After my site came back up last night I tried to reinstall the new domain with a joomla framework using fantastico. According to support all I shoul ddo is select the domain, leave the directory blank, then fill the rest out as normal. When I do this I get an error about installing more than one script in the root directory.
It worked fine for my second domain, third domain is in and up:
http://nosegayflorist.net
and there is the joomla framework, but when you click on any menu, the url looks like this:
http://phenixcitynow.com/nosegayflorist/index.php?option=com_contact&Itemid=3
I think I can fix it in htaccess, from what I have read. I may give that a try first.
