Hello,

Do any of you experience any delays in delivery time w/mailman lists? I run a sports related list which is time sensitive in discussion and want them delivered immediately. I am considering bringing over this domain but want them delivered immediately. Do you experience this?

Mailman delivery can be VERY slow. So much so that I want to try to find another solution without changing hosting services, yet keeping my list@domain.com aliases.

The answer I got from support is that they severely throttle e-mail deliver in the shared host environment. My users expect Yahoo! Group like response, but that does not appear possible through Bluehost. My lists top out around 150 users, so the load from a sngle domain is not particularly high.

Yeah I would love to get my other domain consolidated over to BH but simply cannot take the delay. I actually had cut my site over and started testing MM and was told they throttle something like 500 emails an hour. I have about 100 members on my list. Which means it can't handle more than 5 posts out to the list in one hours time. Simply cannot have that as my sports list has busier times prior and immediately following the games.

The host that does this domain for me is much smaller and has no such restrictions.
