Having problems with Joomla. Please HELP!!!

I have installed joomla on my website however I am failing to go to the admin panel. I get an error that reads: [an error occurred while processing this directive]. Does anyone know what I can do to solve this problem.

Sorry not enough info ... it sounds like an SSI error but you there shouldn't be any SSI in a fresh install. Did you try going directly to the admin login? http://YOURSITE.com/joomla/administrator You should see the login form.

Thanks for the help it is now working. I am not sure what had happened yesterday

It may have been a problem with your PHP.INI file. Make sure it is copied to all sub-directories. That is important for Joomla.

I encountered the identical error once by accidentally deleting or changing the PHP.INI file in the root directory. Luckily I had the backup at home and was unable to quickly upload.
