I want to post this question here before I try this - and maybe save myself a lot of grief.

I have hard that it is possible to make a presentation in PP (including music), export it to an htm file and then load it onto a webpage for people to view (without needing any kind of PP viewer) .

Has anyone done this kind of thing before? I am willing to experiment but would like to benefit from others experience if at all possible.

I've never tried it but this link may offer some help:

You can easily add powerpoint to your pages.
Here's an easy tutorial:

Thanks! Has anyone used the flash approach? Is flash more efficient for the server?

I went to the tutorials and did what they said but I was not able to have the animations execute automatically; I had to play the slide show which may or may not be acceptable.

If you embed the .pps file then your viewers will need PPoint so this is probably not a good way to go.

I use flash for this type of work but if someone were to send me a PPoint presentation that they want me to display on my site I will convert it to Flash using a program called FlashPoint from flashdemo.net for a quick and dirty transfer.

Be aware that sometimes the color is changed during the conversion and some fonts may not be recognized.

Hey! Try to convert ppt to video with Presentation to video converter (http://www.geovid.com/presentation_to_video_converter/) and then upload video to i-net this way is most easy i think;)
