Hello, I am experiencing very slow download speeds using this site as a redirect for our Call of Duty 2 server.
We have an account with GameServers, and we have a clan for Call of Duty 2. On our server we have a Mod, and a few custom maps, that require the player to download through the game, before they can connect and play.
I have uploaded the Mod, and the custom maps to the website here, and placed them in public_html/cod2/main/. When a player downloads the maps from this site, there is a pathetic transfer rate of 100, or 90 kbps. When we were using the free website from GameServers, there was a transfer rate of 800 kbps. The only problem was the free site only had 100 mb of space, and we wanted a phpBB forum. So we made an account here.
I have the same maps, and the same folder tree as the other server, but the download speed is making players waste a lot of time waiting for small files that should be done in seconds.
Is there a setting that will allow me to control this bandwidth? Or is this something our clan will have to get used to. To be honest, if it can't get any better, we will have to find a new site. We don't want to wait 2 or 3 minutes every time we add a new map to the game. Especially when we have a 10 MB cable connection.
Please advise. Thank you. Mark.
