I have a few sites hosted on BH and for the most part I could not be happier with them as a host.

I have a client who I will be moving to a new hosting plan & am considering moving them here...

They will need a lot of email accounts (over 100)
Would this be problematic on BH? Will having so many email accounts effect the overall sites performance? (and kill the CPU?)

Their site uses some php/mysql (not a lot of scripts tho and not on every page)

Anyone have any experience using this many email accounts on BH?

thanks

the only thing that you will see is reaching the email per hour limit. Bluehost limits emails to 50 an hour. If you have a legitiment reason, they can up you to 300-500 an hour.

I suggest using Google to host your email. http://www.google.com/a/help/intl/en/admins/editions_spe.html

And to clarify further, that hourly email limit applies to the whole account, not to each POP email address you create under it. In other words, if you have 100 email accounts, that does not mean they can send out a total of 5000 emails per hour.

to get this right, you can create 999 "email accounts" with bluehost.
And total email sent per hour was as mentioned above.

Having 1 or 999 email accounts, won't effect the cpu load.

I knew the hourly limit was 50 - just wasn't sure how a lot of mail traffic would effect the server

Thanks for the answers everyone
