I have been building my first web site. As I was working I would upload and view the site with IE7 and every thing looked good. But then I tried to view the site it IE6, it appears about 1/3 larger. The right side of the text is off the screen.

Is there any way to fix this? I've created 10 pages so far and I don't want to redo all that if I can help it.

Thanks.

I've never noticed any difference between IE6 display and IE7. Are you using IE6 and IE7 on the same PC? (And if so, how?!) If it's on another PC, I'll wager that the monitor resolution is different.

If that's not the answer, maybe IE6 is set to ignore webpage-specified font sizes, and the font size has been dialed up. Take a look under Tools, Accessibility (I'm just going on fuzzy memory, here - you may have to hunt for it), which is where you can tell IE6 to ignore the font sizes on the webpage. Then check View, Font Size, and see if it's set to Medium.

The only other thing I can think of is that the zoom control is turned up.

That was it. The screen resolution was set differently. Thanks for the tip.

The screen resolution was set differently. This, of course, is the bane of the page designer's existence. You never know what screen resolution your viewers are set for, and trying to account for all the possibilities is exceedingly ugly! At this point, I figure that anyone who's set for less than 1024x768 is just out of luck, and will have to put up with scroll bars everywhere. Call me heartless. ;)
