Im developing a new site and like to know how to track the statistics of my site. I need to have details of visitors and most visited links of my site. Can I have some ideas

If you go to cPanel, under the Logs window, there is a program called Awstats that does a nice job of tracking those numbers. You need to also turn on the software through the Choose Log Programs link in the Logs window.

AwStats is probably what you want if you mean pages on your site when you say "links". If you want to track how often outbound links are clicked then openads (http://www.openads.org/) will help you.
