Hello when I want to access my site. So i get a message that i have to accept the certificate (don't know why!).

Unable to verify the identity of box272.bluehost.com as a trusted site.
Possible resons for this error:
-the site's certificate is incomplete due
to a server misconfiguration
-you are connected to a site pretending to be
box272.bluehost.com, possibly to obtain your confidential information.
Please notify the site's webmaster about this problem. etc..

When I click OK.

I get another message that said:
You habe attempted to establish a connection with 69.89.31.72 .
However, the security certificate presented belongs to box272.bluehost.com. It's possible,
though unlikely, that someone may be trying to intercept ypur communication with this web site.

Click OK again.. so I get a 404 error

So i contact the support team but they didn't help me!

I think, that I have to update my SSL certificate to

https://secure.bluehost.com/~myunixusername

but I don't know how and where!

can someone please help me with this?

I had just the same problem from 22/8.

I use joomla in my site, and after some research found that since that day, PHP reports that there is enabled the https server at 443 port, even you don't have a ssl.
So, joomla (and other cms out there, don't know) runs out of http://yourdomain.com and goes to https://yourdomain.com automatically. And errors are all over your browser's window

Bluehost support was very kind, willing to help, responsible, the best support out there, but they supports their host plans, not joomla.

The solution i found was to search where joomla queries the https server and make the change over the secure server. After some recoding to that point all become normal again.

Check this out... a few others are reporting the issue. It'd be nice to see a sticky about this until it's resolved?
