I was just highlighting a minor issue with using cloudflare. You need to isolate the issue to whether its a bluehost (BH) problem or a cloudflare problem. BH won't support you if your...
You should disable cloudflare to rule it out. I use cloudflare as a way of improving BH's performance. It seems to work as advertised and is especially good at catching when BH is down. One...
Windows indexing is a factor but to be fair, it doesn't really matter what OS your using when your talking about a large # of files. The time it takes to view is going to be dramatically slower than...
Just expect to be harassed if your site goes beyond 1000 folders or 200K files. :)
I'd hoped someone would ask this question. Since the application is supporting a web service hosted on BH it should be allowed. However, knowing how they love to come up with new restrictions to...
Excellent and has kept my # of file limit down by not having bluehost host it. Moving everyone away from using BH has proven difficult but it's more because of a logistical thing. Couldn't go and...
Did you fix the issue... when I went to the site... all seems to be working.

I'm actually not even using bluehosts dns... I've moved my DNS to cloudflare after reading about how even their free service can speed up a website. All my original DNS entries just needed to be...

It's happened way too many times to be acceptable to anyone. It sounds like they are thinking no-one would notice and unfortunately, most people don't. Log a complaint!!!!
Every-time I have contacted support they ask for my password. It is unnerving to say the least as there shouldn't be any reason they need it if they have the right accesses themselves. My guess is...
Did you have a look at the file count report itself? I'd be interested in where all the files were being stored. I finally got around to looking at what happened to my site and it looks like...
The cPanel states:

Cade,
This was a statement made to me by BH support. When they started enforcing the 50K limit, I got caught out while on a vacation in Vietnam. I verbally granted support to delete any files...
sounds like a softlink causing you issues.... Support should have fixed that permanently when they found the problem. Sounds like time to chat with them again.
Bluehost doesn't back any site up...

If it's a large club... consider signing up for Google to host the emails. It's free, has lots of features and won't interfere with silly # of file limits. Each email message counts as a file...
They have been including lots of limits since starting with the # of file limits. Now there is a database size and table limit. Folder limits..... BH seems to be all about the limits to protect...
They have filters that look for all kinds of things... links... etc. This probably helps a great deal in blocking spam but is seriously annoying. When Bob gets around to it.. they should clear. ...
