Default E-mail accounts at Blue Host

    Hi,
I am new at Blue Host and just recently uploaded the files to my website. The reason I am writing is to ask if there is any advantage to using either of the e-mail providers - Horde or Squirrel Mail - that Blue Host offers? Do I have to use them?

The reason I am asking is that I use hotmail for my personal e-mail account and like hotmail better than either Horde or Squirrel Mail.

    Thanks,
    Andy

Hey, You dont have to use Horde or Squirrel Mail. You can use an email client like Mozilla Thunderbird and set it up to recieve the mail. The setting to do this are somewhere in the mail accounts settings.

Remember, Horde and Squirrelmail aren't email providers - they're just different ways of fetching your email from Bluehost. You don't have to create a Bluehost email account at all, if you don't want to. If you do set up one or more email accounts (and you can have as many as 2500!), you can retrieve your messages with either of the webmail alternatives offered, or you can use any email client program you like - Outlook, Outlook Express, Pegasus, Thunderbird, etc., etc.
